Since 1982, the Cardozo Arts & Entertainment Law Journal (AELJ) has been a leader in national and international legal scholarship. For nearly four decades, AELJ has routinely published timely and influential legal analyses across a wide range of subjects, including arts, entertainment, intellectual property, First Amendment, sports, fashion, cyberlaw, and media and telecommunications law.
AELJ has earned recognition from legal scholars, academics, practitioners, and members of the judiciary in the United States and abroad for its scholarly impact. The Journal publishes three student-edited issues annually, continuing its longstanding commitment to advancing thoughtful research and discourse in its field.
Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution (Journals)
Founded in 1998 by a group of dedicated students, the Cardozo Journal of Conflict Resolution (CJCR) is the country’s preeminent legal journal of arbitration, negotiation, mediation, settlement, and restorative justice. It is the most heavily cited legal publication in the broad field of “Civil Litigation and Dispute Resolution,” ranked first internationally in 2019. Edited by third-year law students and staffed by second-year law students, the Journal publishes on issues at the cutting edge of legal and academic thought. CJCR publishes three issues annually: Fall, Winter, and Spring.

Cardozo Journal of Equal Rights & Social Justice (Journals)
The Cardozo Journal of Equal Rights and Social Justice has been a pioneering publisher of social justice–focused legal scholarship for more than twenty years. Established as the Women’s Law Journal (Volumes 1–11), later known as the Journal of Law & Gender (Volumes 12–23), and now continuing its mission as the Journal of Equal Rights & Social Justice (Volume 24–present), the Journal has continually evolved to reflect the expanding landscape of equality-driven legal inquiry.
The Journal publishes three issues per year, featuring Articles and Notes that engage with a wide spectrum of topics relating to gender, sexual orientation, race, and diversity. Its interdisciplinary scholarship explores pressing legal issues in immigration law, anti-racism, human rights, international law, family law, civil rights, criminal law, and employment law.
In addition to its publications, the Journal proudly sponsors an annual symposium that brings together leading academics, activists, and practitioners to discuss emerging developments in social justice and equality.

Cardozo Public Law, Policy and Ethics Journal (Journals)

The Cardozo Public Law, Policy & Ethics Journal (CPLPEJ), which ran from 2003 to 2017, is a multidisciplinary publication dedicated to discussing and analyzing the policy implications of governmental actions, how lawyers advocate in the public interest, and how the ethical choices of legal workers affect the law and the public at large. CPLPEJ publishes writing across a wide range of legal areas, including constitutional law, family law, legal ethics, criminal law, civil rights law, immigration law, environmental law, civil law, labor law, animal rights law, and sexual orientation law. The Journal is committed to a non-ideological investigation of these issues and welcomes submissions from philosophers, economists, sociologists, activists, lawyers, and other professionals.
