Cardozo Journal of Equal Rights & Social Justice
The Cardozo Journal of Equal Rights and Social Justice has been a pioneering publisher of social justice–focused legal scholarship for more than twenty years. Established as the Women’s Law Journal (Volumes 1–11), later known as the Journal of Law & Gender (Volumes 12–23), and now continuing its mission as the Journal of Equal Rights & Social Justice (Volume 24–present), the Journal has continually evolved to reflect the expanding landscape of equality-driven legal inquiry.
The Journal publishes three issues per year, featuring Articles and Notes that engage with a wide spectrum of topics relating to gender, sexual orientation, race, and diversity. Its interdisciplinary scholarship explores pressing legal issues in immigration law, anti-racism, human rights, international law, family law, civil rights, criminal law, and employment law.
In addition to its publications, the Journal proudly sponsors an annual symposium that brings together leading academics, activists, and practitioners to discuss emerging developments in social justice and equality.
