It advocates for a "willful liberalism" that emphasizes individual freedom and the pursuit of self-defined goals, moving beyond both rationalist uniformity and communitarian group identities. This form of liberalism seeks to balance diversity with a deeper appreciation for individual uniqueness, guided by virtues like civility and courage.
