Abstract
The note examines the legal implications of the US-Japanese Agreement, which governs the movement of Japanese baseball players to Major League Baseball (MLB). It highlights how this agreement restricts players' negotiation rights and discusses potential legal challenges under antitrust and labor laws. The author argues that the agreement, created after disputes like Hideki Irabu's case, may face legal challenges, particularly from Japanese players and the MLB Players Association (MLBPA), and suggests modifications to ensure fairness and prevent litigation.
