Description
Students are tomorrow’s scholars. While there has been discussion about adding students ETDs to an IR, what about their other scholarship? Students present an opportunity to teach best practices for scholars in terms of open access as well as another potential source for material to be deposited into the IR. However, students won’t be thinking of the IR in the same terms as the faculty. This session will discuss outreach strategies, highlight the appeal that an IR may have to an aspiring academic or professional, and identify some of the pitfalls along the way.
