Abstract

This finding aid describes the Benjamin N. Cardozo papers, which include handwritten notes, manuscripts, speeches, essays, and correspondence created by or related to Benjamin N. Cardozo. Materials document his legal thought, professional activities, and correspondence, particularly with his secretary Joseph M. Paley. The collection also includes notes on legal concepts and petitions before the United States Supreme Court.
