NYC Sidewalk Obligations Must Go Beyond Construction
Abstract
Accessible sidewalks are the lifeblood of every city. They're essential spaces, not just for pedestrians, but for so much more.
Last month, New York City took a major step in reclaiming the sidewalk for the public by announcing the Get Sheds Down plan, which will bring sweeping changes to how the city regulates the scaffolding and construction sheds looming over the city. It's a long time coming. But it ought to be just the beginning.
