Abstract

The article explores a rabbinic midrash that challenges contemporary legal theory by dissolving traditional dualisms such as reason vs. emotion and masculine vs. feminine. It presents divine mercy as an act of love, offering a corrective to modern legal theory's replication of these dichotomies, thus enriching discourse on justice and ethics.
