Abstract

It highlights the establishment of the Sierra Leone Special Court and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission as key mechanisms for accountability and healing. The article argues that transitional justice is essential for national reconciliation, democracy, and long-term peace, emphasizing the importance of balancing justice with the need to avoid destabilizing fragile post-conflict societies.
