Cardozo Law School has launched the Center for Visual Advocacy (CVA). The CVA, under the leadership of Professor Michelle Greenberg-Kobrin, will, among other activities and outreach, host a new educational website for filmmakers, providing practical legal information to help these visual artists understand and protect their rights and avoid common and costly legal missteps.

Their exposure to COVID-19 in prisons, jails and immigration detention puts them at great risk.

Cardozo's Moot Court Honor Society Earns a Spot as a Regional Finalist at Tang Competition

Cardozo’s Moot Court Honor Society’s six-person team came away victorious on October 23, as a regional finalist at the Thomas Tang National Moot Court Appellate Advocacy Competition, an annual event sponsored by the National Asian Pacific American Bar Association (NAPABA).The team also qualified for the national competition.

Sabarish Suresh, JSD Student, to Present Research at The Annual Doctoral Forum on Legal Theory

Sabarish Suresh is a JSD student at Cardozo and when he completes the program in 2022, it will be his second degree from the law school. He received an LLM in Comparative Legal Thought in 2019, and credits Professor Peter Goodrich and his scholarship in helping spearhead his interest in psychoanalysis, philosophy, and legal theory.

Visual Advocacy: Cardozo Indie Film Clinic Helps Underrepresented Voices Be Heard

In 2018, writer/director Ekwa Msangi was working on her first feature film. She had experience with short films but knew that to attract investors for a feature, she would have to have her business in order. That summer, the Cardozo Indie Film Clinic led a panel presentation at the Tribeca Film Institute development laboratory.

Class of 2023 Joins the Cardozo Community

Cardozo’s Class of 2023 began their journey to becoming lawyers this week, as the fall semester kicked off with a portion of the class coming to campus for in-person classes on August 18. The new class boasts a 3.65 median GPA, a historic high for the law school, and a median LSAT score of 162.
