Cardozo Bet Tzedek Legal Services (“Cardozo Bet Tzedek”) is a civil litigation clinic at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law that represents individuals with disabilities and older adults in a range of civil cases, including disability rights, public benefits, restoration of rights for people under guardianship, and consumer matters. The clinic works to vindicate important civil rights for persons with disabilities, thereby preventing homelessness, loss of income, and institutionalization that can result when these rights are violated. Cardozo Bet Tzedek also engages in significant impact litigation, including class actions to protect the rights of persons with disabilities to receive critical public benefits such as home care services.
