Abstract
In recent weeks, an Illinois statute enacted in 2008 has garnered much attention from the legal community. The Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (“BIPA”) governs the retention, collection, disclosure and destruction of biometric identifiers and biometric information (“biometric data”) by private entities.
