14th Annual BALLSA Celebration (2024)

The 14th Annual BALLSA Celebration was held on February 28, 2024, at The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law. One of Cardozo Law’s signature annual events, the BALLSA Alumni Celebration recognizes the achievements and contributions of Cardozo’s diverse community while supporting initiatives that promote equity, mentorship, and inclusion within the legal profession.

The 2024 celebration honored philanthropist Kwanza Jones ’99, whose leadership and philanthropic work through the Kwanza Jones & José E. Feliciano Initiative has supported education, entrepreneurship, equity, and empowerment initiatives impacting communities nationwide. During her time at Cardozo, Jones participated in the Arts & Entertainment Law Journal and the Kukin Program for Conflict Resolution.

The event raised a record $60,000 to support merit-based scholarships and the BALLSA Scholarship Fund, a need-based award recognizing students who have overcome hardship and contributed to Cardozo’s diverse student associations. This series preserves promotional materials, event records, photographs, and related archival content documenting the 14th Annual BALLSA Celebration.
