Post-Soviet Media Law & Policy Newsletter
The Post-Soviet Media Law and Policy Newsletter was a monthly publication that monitored media law reform in the former Soviet Union. The editor of the publication was Monroe E. Price, who previously served as the Dean of Cardozo Law School. The newsletter was primarily aimed at academics, government officials, and foundation executives. It first appeared in 1993 and served as a platform for discussing advertising law, intellectual property law, entertainment law, and the legal and contractual aspects of the sale and organization of private stations and networks in the transitional society of the former Soviet Union. The newsletter was suspended from June 1996 to July 1997 and eventually ceased in Fall 1999. It was continued by the Communications Law in Transition Newsletter.
