The 2020s at Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law have been defined by resilience, adaptation, and continued student engagement amid global challenges. The onset of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020 reshaped student life, prompting a shift to remote learning and virtual collaboration. Student organizations remained active, finding new ways to connect and advocate through digital platforms. Experiential learning persisted, with clinics and externships adapting to remote formats and continuing to provide students with meaningful legal experience, highlighted by the launch of the Perlmutter Center for Legal Justice. Student publications continued to evolve, including the Cardozo International & Comparative Law Review, which was renamed from the Cardozo International Comparative, Policy & Ethics Law Review. The journal has remained a platform for global legal scholarship and student-led analysis of international issues. Throughout the decade, students demonstrated flexibility and leadership, helping to sustain Cardozo’s academic community and uphold its commitment to legal inquiry and public service.
