David Rudenstine served as dean of the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law from 2001 to 2009. A member of the Cardozo faculty since 1979 and a noted scholar in constitutional law, Dean Rudenstine guided the school through a period of academic growth and national recognition. His leadership emphasized intellectual rigor, public service, and deepened Cardozo’s commitment to legal scholarship and justice.
